GROUNDED is a material exploration of visual lightness and density.
Created from needle-felting polyester filling, various textures and forms coalesce to form the cloud-like piece. I was drawn to the irony created between the lightness/airiness associated with mists and fogs, and with the density of the shape and how it was confined to the floor, since it is a bottom-heavy form.
